FARMOOR 2020 BANK CHALLENGE SUNDAY 8TH OF NOVEMBER

BANK SINGLES COMPETITION – FARMOOR 1 

This competition will be held at Oxfordshire’s Farmoor1 reservoir. The fishery offers an excellent bank set up for a fair competition, with all anglers facing identical bank conditions all around the lake. The match will be fished to the popular, peg rotating basis. Each angler will get 1 hours fishing time per peg,with a 15 minute time gap between pegs.

Anybody can enter this event, and with the cash prize structure in place, anyone can win.

SINGLES COMPETITION– MATCH DAY RULES

The match will be fished to full catch & release, on barbless or de-barbed hooks.  Maximum of 5 fish per peg can be caught. You will be rewarded with 2 points with your first fish, then 1 point per fish until your 5th fish is landed. A bonus point will also be added per peg, should you catch your 5 fish peg limit. A total of 7 points can be achieved per peg. You will fish for 60 minutes per peg, (EXCEPT THE LAST PEG OF THE DAY) with a 15 minute interval between pegs to move to your next peg number. Each netted fish will be counted and entered onto a score card by a match official. You must have your netted fish verified by a match official, before commencing fishing. NO modified fly lines to be used.(40+ Airflo lines are fine) The angler/s with the most points at the end of the day will be deemed the winner/s. In the event of a points score draw, the angler whom landed his or her fish first will be deemed the winner. Any questions, please email craig@flashattackflies.com

•                                  Open the site at 7.15am

•                                  Registration at 7.30 to 8.00am

•                                  Briefing for fisherman at 8.15 to 8.30am (Anglers go to their respective peg)

•                                  Briefing for match marshals at 8.30 to 8.40am

  • 9.00am to 10.00am sector 1
  • 10.15am to 11.15am sector 2
  • 11.30am to 12.30pm sector 3
  • 12.30pm to 13.00pm lunch
  • 13.00pm to 14.00pm sector 4
  • 14.15pm to 15.15pm sector 5
  • 15.30pm to 16.00pm sector 6

 

The official practice day will be Saturday the 7th of November. The lake will close at 4.30pm on the Saturday. (Practice day payments must also be made payable to event organiser, Craig Barr)

THE OFFICIAL PRACTICE DAY PAYMENTS MUST ALSO BE PAID BY ANY OF THE ABOVE CHANNELS, AGAIN USING YOUR FULL NAME AS A REFERENCE. CASH PAYMENTS ONLY CAN ALSO BE MADE AT THE FISHERY FOR THE OFFICIAL PRACTICE DAY.

PRIZE VALUES BASED ON 60 SINGLE ANGLER ENTRIES

Prize pool,  based on 60 anglers is 1st  £1260, 2nd  £525, 3rd  £210, 4th £105 and 5th   vouchers

 

 

 

Due to the uncertainty of Covid-19, the competition could be subject to cancellation at anytime. A full refund will be made if this was to happen. A system will be in place on the day to assure social distancing is kept, however we do ask you, the angler, to play your part in this very important role.
