This fly is ridiculously successful at catching shrimp feeders, and any other surface feeding trout!!! I personally can't believe how consistent it is. Tricky to catch fish in the margins? We've all seen, or said it. Not any more ! Fish as a single fly, 12 to 15' leader (6 to 8lb TIPPET) and just cast it out and leave it. See a moving fish? Chuck this 5' in its path and watch !! The deliberate tied in soft partridge hackle, flutters beautifully in the ripple, making this fly look like an active shrimp in the surface.
