This white Mink Zonka is a must in anyones armoury from September. When the fish start of the fry, the minky zonka is deadly. So very fish like when wet ! The mink gives the fly a very slim line look when wet, giving the recognised 'minnow' profile to the trout. Best fished on floating lines near weed beds or any other feature that may hold fry. A side wind can be best, allowing the fly to swing naturally, in turn, giving the soft mink tail amazing movement. A slow figure of 8 will bring the best results ! If you feel a "nip" don't strike, wait until the line pulls solidly tight before striking!
