This pattern is a such a consistent fly. (Barbed)The hares ear represents many midge forms, none more so now than the shrimp! The Midlands Reservoirs are now full of these critters, and the fish have honed in on them, big time ! When wet, this fly look so much like a shrimp, and the fish love it. We have tied these deliberately scruffier/spikier than normal, to give it a real shrimp like look.
